Part Time Institutional Events Coordinator

Position Summary: 

To assist the office of Events Management in coordinating seminary events.

Primary Responsibilities  

  1. Assists Director of the Office of Events Management with a myriad of activities necessary to implement annual events.
  2. Assists with a draft of invitation lists, protocols, menu selection, room arrangements, decorations, and/or housing for approval by the Director of the Office of Events Management.
  3. Works with other offices on campus involved with events, including President’s Office,       Communications, Dining Services, Support Services, Riley Center, etc.
  4. Assists in the preparation of tablescapes.
  5. Assists with the creation of ideas, purchases supplies, and assemble decorations used for events.
  6. Attends and assists with events.
  7. Lessens duplication of effort and increases operational efficiency.
  8. Event Coordinator for Internal Events
  9. Performs other duties as directed

Job Requirements/Qualifications 

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Physical Requirements 

  1. Periodic lifting of up to 30 lbs.
  2. Periodic travel in and out of state may be required.
  3. Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  4. Ability to kneel, bend, or stoop.

Computer Requirements 

Proficient in general computer applications and e-mail.
