Position Summary

Housekeeping attendants assure the highest possible level of guest satisfaction. They are responsible for the cleanliness of guest units as well as the cleanliness of common areas as requested. They must work efficiently and present a friendly atmosphere for guest service & satisfaction. The housekeeping attendant position requires around 20-25 hours per week.Must available 3 days a week and weekends. Applicants should have a flexible schedule, and should be available to work every day. Housekeepers serve under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Guest Housing.

Primary Responsibilities

1.      Demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for Riley Center guests.

2.      Ensure the highest level of cleanliness in guest rooms in accordance with Riley Center standards.

3.      Stock and maintain housekeeping carts and storage rooms.

4.      Attend to guest housing laundry needs.

5.      Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Supervisor immediately.

6.      Appropriately tag lost items and turn them in to management.

7.      Comply with all safety and security policies in accordance with Riley Center standards.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

1.      Prior housekeeping experience preferred.

2.      Maintain positive and service-oriented guest relations.

3.      On-call schedule.

Physical Requirements

1.      Manual dexterity to perform repeated and quick motions with hands and arms to grasp and move objects.

2.      Visual Acuity to perform tasks safely and effectively

3.      Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours.

4.      Exert force with muscles in trunk, arms and legs to push, pull, carry, lift, or move objects weighing up to 30 pounds.

5.      Ability to twist, bend, reach overhead with arms, and stretch.

Computer Requirements

 Ability to operate a PC computer.
