Job Summary:
The Women’s Center Associate serves under the Dean of Women to carry out the ministries of
the Southwestern Women’s Center and support the various ministries to women on campus.

Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities
• Staff and execute the day-to-day ministries of the Women’s Center, including but not
limited to hospitality, connecting with and mentoring female students, and executing
various events and community gatherings.
• Contribute to social media engagement, communication, and resources for female
students.
• Assist in hosting other groups at the Women’s Center including monthly TBC Coffee and
Chat and Women on Mission
• Assist the Dean of Women by providing administrative and organizational support to
Metochai, Southwestern Women’s Club, and Society for Women in Scholarship.
• Plan for key semester and monthly events such as Fall Kick-off and Spring Celebration,
monthly Fellowship Breakfast, Big/Lil Ministry, and special events in partnership with
Barnard Hall.
• Assist in maintaining the interior of the Women’s Center.
• Provide hospitality items for guests, including fresh baked goods.
• Maintain appropriate operational supplies and inventory.
• Partner with the Dean of Women to foster mentoring opportunities for Southwestern
women.
• Partner with other schools and departments on various campus-wide and constituency
events. (i.e. Dressed for Service, Campus festivals, Women’s Auxiliary, etc.)
• Plan and staff the Southwestern Women’s Expo booth at the annual meeting of the SBC.
Additionally assist admissions and Institutional Advancement at the SBC as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and specific to area of responsibility.

• Available to travel in June of each year to the annual meeting of the SBC.

Qualifications / Education:
• Must be a full-time Texas Baptist College or Southwestern Seminary student.
• Must be available to work some evenings and weekends.
• Must be available to travel to and work during the SBC Annual Meeting.
• Successful completion of background check, MVR, and credit check may be required.

• This position reports to the Dean of Women

Physical Requirements
• Physically able to sit and stand for long periods of time,
• Able to use kitchen equipment such as stove tops, ovens, mixers, etc,
• Able to use computer and move about office to interact with other staff members,

• Able to climb and lift up to 10 pounds to perform tasks that may be assigned in the course
of operations.
• Must be able to perform occasional overhead reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, and
kneeling.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and
hear.
• Occasionally required to stand, kneel, crouch, climb and balance, walk and use hands to
finger, handle, or feel.
