Job Summary:

Learning Technologies Technicians provide basic hardware/software support for the classroom technology and the video conferencing needs of the seminary. This is a 18-28 hours per week position.

Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Interface with faculty, staff, and students on a daily basis to solve technical issues

  • Work individually and on a team environment to complete tickets and meet end user needs in a timely manner

  • Support end users by answering telephone calls, online ticket requests, and walk-ins

  • Provide training in classroom technology for faculty and students in both physical and virtual environments

  • Other support duties as assigned

  • Regular on the job attendance and timeliness

  • Perform other related duties as assigned and specific to area of responsibility

Qualifications / Education:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred

  • CompTIA A+ certification is a plus

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Successful completion of background check, MVR, and credit check may be required

Supervision:

  • This position does not involve supervision of other persons

  • Reports to the Assistant Director of Learning Technologies

Physical Requirements

  • Physically able to sit and stand for long periods of time

  • Visual acuity to work with a computer

  • Manual dexterity to operate a keyboard and mouse

  • Able to attend meetings on site

  • Physical activity includes, but is not limited to: Ability to perform manual tasks, reaching above shoulders and reaching waist to shoulders, bending, balancing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, performing repetitive motions and standing for long durations of time

  • Able to climb and lift up to 5-30 pounds to perform tasks that may be assigned in the course of operations

  • Must be able to climb ladders
