Every staff person shall be an active faithful member of a local church of believers in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is expected that conduct becoming a follower of Jesus will be portrayed in the community.

Position Summary:

Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of campus grounds.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Mows, edges and trims turf areas.
  2. Plants, trims and maintains all shrubs.
  3. Plants and maintains color beds.
  4. Maintains campus water features.
  5. Applies horticultural chemicals where directed.
  6. Cleans hard-surface areas.
  7. Maintains irrigation systems.
  8. Properly services, operates and cleans equipment after use.
  9. Reports equipment problems and maintenance needs promptly to supervisor.
  10. Regular on the job attendance and timeliness.
  11. Special assignments as given by the supervisor or seminary administration.


Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • While no experience is required; however, preference is given to candidates with experience.
  • Must be familiar with common tools and equipment used in ground maintenance.
  • A willingness to get dirty and work in any weather condition is important.
  • Naturally exhibit a servantís heart with a positive and encouraging attitude.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to relate well to people.

Physical Requirements:

  •  Must be able to carry up to 40 pounds of parts and equipment.  
  •  Must be able to perform occasional overhead reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, and kneeling. 
  •  Must be able to climb ladders.  
  •  Must be able to withstand the heat and cold of the north Texas climate.

Driving Requirements:

An acceptable driving record with a valid U.S. Driverís license is not required, but preferred.
