Every staff person shall be an active faithful member of a local church of believers in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is expected that conduct becoming a follower of Jesus will be portrayed in the community. 


Position Summary:

Responsible for performing general cleanup and maintenance of seminary owned property.


Primary Responsibilities: 

  1. Gathering and hauling trash on campus and in housing areas.
  2. Cleaning out furniture and trash left behind when housing tenants move out.
  3. Placing wayfinding signs for special events on campus.
  4. Performing outdoor work such as digging, fence repair, and loose material pickup.
  5. Performing repairs to private roads and parking lots (i.e. filling potholes, replacing parking bumpers, etc.).
  6. Performing repairs to street signs and private signs on campus.
  7. Inspecting campus and housing playgrounds (adding mulch when needed).
  8. Assisting with putting up and taking down Christmas decorations indoors and outdoors.
  9. Performing outdoor pressure washing and cleaning of sidewalks, buildings, vehicles and other areas as required.
  10. Performing mowing and grounds work around maintenance facilities.
  11. Assisting in the loading and unloading of trucks.
  12. Other helpful, but not required skills could include: Welding and fabricating experience, heavy equipment operation (i.e. forklift, backhoe, dump truck), and/or the ability to drive a vehicle with a standard transmission.
  13. Special assignments as given by the supervisor or seminary administration.


Job Requirements/Qualifications: 

  •  While no experience is required, preference is given to candidates with experience.
  •  Must be familiar with common hand tools.
  •  A willingness to get dirty and work in any weather condition is important.
  •  Naturally exhibit a servantís heart with a positive and encouraging attitude.
  •  Must have good communication skills and be able to relate well to people.


Physical Requirements: 

  •  Must be able to carry up to 40 pounds of parts and equipment.  
  •  Must be able to perform occasional overhead reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, and kneeling. 
  •  Must be able to climb ladders.  
  •  Must be able to withstand the heat and cold of the north Texas climate. 


Computer Requirements: 

Basic understanding of a personal computer with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn vendor systems.


Driving Requirements: 

Must have an acceptable driving record with a valid U.S. Driverís license.
