Position Summary:

Responsible for maintenance of the Seminary vehicle fleet, heavy equipment, and small engines.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Provides maintenance for all Seminary vehicles and equipment, including preventive maintenance.
  2. Ensures that small engine driven equipment is maintained properly.
  3. Ensures vehicle cleanliness and appearance is properly maintained.
  4. Sees that job site is kept clean and neat.
  5. Seeks to learn and improve proper techniques and skills.
  6. Assists, as needed, with the tasks in the Plant Services and Welding shops.
  7. Special assignments as given by the supervisor or seminary administration.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must be familiar with common hand tools used in the automotive trade and possess advanced automotive techniques.
  • A natural curiosity, great problem solving skills, good mechanical aptitude, a willingness to get dirty.
  • Naturally exhibit a servantís heart with a positive and encouraging attitude.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to relate well to people.

Physical Requirements:

  •  Must be able to carry up to 40 pounds of parts and equipment.  
  •  Must be able to perform occasional overhead reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, and kneeling. 
  •  Must be able to climb ladders.  
  •  Must be able to withstand the heat and cold of the north Texas climate. 

Computer Requirements:

Basic understanding of a personal computer with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn vendor systems.

Driving Requirements:

Must have an acceptable driving record with a valid U.S. Driverís license.
