Position Summary:

Responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial appliances.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains and repairs residential and commercial appliances.
  2. Verifies that work is functional and in good working order before declaring it complete.
  3. Sees that trucks are stocked with frequently used parts.
  4. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment requiring service.
  5. Sees that job site is kept clean and safe.
  6. Seeks to learn and improve proper techniques and skills.
  7. Special assignments as given by the supervisor or seminary administration.


Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • While no experience is required, preference is given to candidates with experience.
  • Must be familiar with common hand tools.
  • A natural curiosity, great problem solving skills, good mechanical aptitude, a willingness to get dirty.
  • Naturally exhibit a servantís heart with a positive and encouraging attitude.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to relate well to people.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to operate an appliance dolly with a large appliance, such as a refrigerator, up or down a set of stairs with assistance of a co-worker.
  •  Must be able to carry up to 40 pounds of parts and equipment.  
  •  Must be able to perform occasional overhead reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, and kneeling. 
  •  Must be able to climb ladders.  

Computer Requirements:

Basic understanding of a personal computer with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn vendor systems.

Driving Requirements:

Must have an acceptable driving record with a valid U.S. Driverís license.
